Part-1 Ch-02 Ep-03
Manga, Novel, Stageplay—All are slightly Different so its confusing
Now, at this point, I was lost in thought about something.
Actually, this game was moderately popular, so it ended up receiving both novelizations and comic adaptations. Naturally, fans bought them, and those sold reasonably well too, but setting that aside for the moment.
The issue is that there are multiple versions of the story.
Novelizations and comic adaptations sometimes supplement settings that the main game never depicts, and sometimes they portray developments that differ entirely, as if they were alternate timelines.
This game is the same, with subtle differences in how events unfold depending on the medium.
Of course that is only natural.
Novelizations and comics do not have the branching choices unique to otome games in the first place.
And that reality applies even in this world; while I have a general understanding of future developments, I cannot say with absolute confidence that they will unfold exactly as I remember.
To be honest, my own memories have fuzzy areas as well.
Maybe when I get home today, I should reread that magical girl anime notebook for the first time in a while and retrace my past memories.
While thinking about all that and wandering without much direction, I apparently ended up alone behind the gym.
Huh, I think I told Maki and the others, “I’m going to the bathroom,” before I left.
This might be why people call me eccentric.
As I turned on my heel to head back.
I heard boys’ voices coming from near the back entrance of the gym.
I instinctively held my breath.
“Todoroki is such an upstart, becoming cheer squad leader as a first-year. What a show-off.”
“Yeah. In club activities he even gives opinions to us. Like, don’t get cocky just because you’re a bit big.”
...Oh dear, this is something I really should not be hearing.
From what I can gather, Todoroki-kun is not well regarded by his club seniors.
In my memory, he is a cheerful, straightforward sportsman, so perhaps that brightness irritates certain people.
Learning this behind-the-scenes side, something never depicted in the game or the other media, weighs a little heavily on me.
I ended up hearing something unpleasant about him. I hope nothing comes of this. I really do not want to get mixed up in this kind of thing.
This time for real, I turned on my heel and quickly left the scene, heading toward the bathroom.
