Part-3 Ch-03 Ep-02
Seishuku Kokoa’s Everyday Life (2)
Seishuku’s POV
I, Seishuku Kokoa, run the fan club for Nagase Mari and Ichinose Maki.
When I say “run,” it is still just a club activity carried out by high school students.
It is nothing large-scale, and we have no funding, so what we do is fairly modest.
The club’s main activity is simply watching over the two of them.
Most of the members are people who already love yuri to begin with.
That is precisely why the club’s catchphrase is, “Therefore, we are a wall.”
We interfere with the two of them as little as possible.
We do not cause them trouble.
Our basic rule is to remain nothing more than a wall, to avoid making a fuss, and if we do make a fuss, to do so quietly, out of sight, so as not to inconvenience them.
The members’ enthusiasm is incredible, and over time we have produced merchandise such as keychains, acrylic stands, pin badges, puppets, and even doujinshi as secondary creative works.
…Where exactly the boundary of being a “wall” lies is something people may have differing opinions on, but we do make sure to get their permission each time, and we manage information very carefully, so I believe we are not causing any trouble.
Probably.
Also, in truth, Ichinose-san has been quite involved with the doujinshi. No, not involved. She has been supervising it.
When she first made the offer, I thought she might be acting as a brake to keep the fan club from getting too carried away.
She is the kind of person who clearly says no when something bothers her.
I imagined she might be worried about things becoming a nuisance for Nagase-san, so I quickly agreed to her proposal.
However, once we actually got started, it turned out to be very different from what I had expected.
“What if we made the girl modeled after Mari more head-over-heels for me in this story?”
“Speaking of which, I had this exchange with Mari the other day. Do you think it could work as reference material for an episode?”
Rather than applying the brakes, she happily took on the role of supplying fuel so the members could floor the accelerator.
On top of that, she even asked, “So, are there no intimate scenes in this?”
There is no way it would be acceptable for minors to write scenes like that.
Ichinose-san appears, at first glance, to pour most of her emotions into Nagase-san, but I think she actually restrains herself quite a bit.
That is because her feelings for Nagase-san are enormous to begin with.
Well, since we are enjoying the results as well, I suppose you could call it a win-win situation for now.
Still, we cannot push things too far, so when we are in trouble, we also consult Nagase-san.
In the end, she seems to be the only true brake among us.
…As a result, I cannot deny the feeling that we are mostly causing trouble for Nagase-san, but please forgive us.
We are also handling various follow-up tasks and providing assistance regarding Inuino-kun and other matters, after all.
As I was reminiscing about our activities up to now, the chair one seat ahead of mine was pulled out, and Ichinose-san plopped down into it.
It was still before morning homeroom, and the classroom was buzzing with noise.
The owner of the seat directly in front of me, where Ichinose-san had sat, did not seem to have arrived at school yet.
“Do you have any headache medicine?” Ichinose-san asked.
“…No, I do not have any, but,” I replied.
Now that she mentioned it, I realized that the morning had flown by so quickly that I had forgotten to take my medicine after all.
At the same time that I thought, I messed up, I also started to worry that Ichinose-san might not be feeling well either.
“Oh, I see. Then do you want this?”
As she said that, she held out some over-the-counter headache medicine.
When I tilted my head in confusion, she said, “Seishuku-san, you are the type who gets migraines when the weather is bad, right? You always look like you are having a hard time on rainy days. Today is the same.”
Her words caught me completely by surprise.
“How did you know…?”
The words slipped out before I could stop them.
That was not something you would notice unless you were paying close attention to someone on a regular basis.
It was not something you would know unless you actually cared.
That felt almost like what a friend would do.
“Well, if you see a friend every day, you notice things like that, right?”
Ichinose-san said it casually, then placed several pills on my desk.
“Did you just read my mind?”
“Huh? What are you even talking about?”
She looked at me suspiciously, but still left me with a, “Take care of yourself. I hope the rainy season ends soon,” before walking away.
She looks like she only has eyes for Nagase-san, but she actually pays attention to what is going on around her too.
That is exactly why she keeps gaining more fans. It is unfair.
After Ichinose-san returned to her seat, the teacher arrived.
I quickly picked up the headache medicine she had given me, opened it, put it into my mouth, and swallowed it down with the water I had at hand.
